Portfolio Website V1
Description
This is my portfolio website which is used to showcase the many projects I've worked on throughout the years. This site is meant to provide a clean user interface and slick animations for user interactions. Given the technology stack used here, this site runs optimally and performs great on all screen sizes from mobile to desktop ensuring a rich and exciting user experience throughout.
From a design perspective I wanted to use vibrant colors and give the site a "futuristic" feel, while at the same time conveying the information appropriately for user consumption. I designed the website using Figma and adhered to responsive design rules so the site looks and performs great on any device from mobile to 4K monitors. This project is full of technology under the hood and offers everything from a blog to custom forms for users to input their information, as well as dynamically served content via CMS. Lastly the site is served up via Netlify and boasts ultra fast page load speeds making it ideal for SEO. From idea to deployment this project was a complete top down rebuild and the lessons learned along the way were priceless.

Case study
This is the first version of my portfolio website. I wanted to implement an interesting UI with vibrant colors and a futuristic feel. While building this project I used it as a platform to better learn the Gatsby ecosystem and polish my skills as a front end developer. Front end development skills used during this build were lazy loading images, fetching data via graphQL and using a CMS to display the data to the user while at the same time implementing a sales and SEO strategy via google analytics and adsense to generate leads for my freelancing business.
